The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is the world's largest nonprofit organization devoted exclusively to advancing the unmanned systems community. AUVSI, with members from government organizations, industry and academia, is committed to fostering, developing, and promoting unmanned systems and related technologies. AUVSI provides opportunities for information exchange, networking and business development and is the best resource for simply learning about unmanned systems or for staying abreast of the latest program and technology updates. The San Diego Chapter is dedicated to the advancement of a "Virtual Center of Excellence for Unmanned Technology" in the greater Southwest region.
San Diego is rich in technology in both the Public and Private sectors, making this geographical area ideal for conducting effective business interface for the mutual benefit of all members.
The San Diego Chapter enthusiastically engages in projects with the public sector for the advancement and sharing of common issues and resolutions through the application of specific knowledge areas, and is a value added resource for programs of all types related to ground, undersea and air unmanned vehicles.

Bob Varga, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Enerdyne, a division of ViaSat Inc.
Bio for Bob Varga Bob Varga is a Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Enerdyne, a division of ViaSat Inc. ViaSat is a world leader in military and commercial Satellite communications, Information Assurance, and network systems equipment. Enerdyne provides innovative digital Datalink systems for video ISR applications with manned and unmanned aerial vehicles. Prior to Enerdyne Varga was Vice President, L-3 Communications Advanced Products and Design Division (formerly Titan Systems Corporation). His role there included leadership in business development and custom product development. His accomplishments include the conception and initial business development for the VideoScout video management system. His career experience encompasses successful start-ups, venture funded businesses, acquisitions, and a corporate turnaround, in a variety of public & private companies, both in the commercial and DoD business sectors Mr. Varga holds a Masters and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and dual Bachelors of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Liberal Arts from the University of Notre Dame.
